Terms of Service
Last updated: October 7, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Kontextlo browser extension and website, provided by Kontextlo (“we”, “us”). By installing or using Kontextlo, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the product.
1. The service
Kontextlo organizes Chrome tabs into Spaces and sessions, with resources, auto-discard, and optional Google Drive backup. We may add, change, or remove features over time.
2. License
Subject to these Terms, Kontextlo grants you a personal, worldwide, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Kontextlo for your personal use or internal business use. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.
3. Free and paid tiers
Kontextlo offers a free tier with feature limits and one or more paid tiers that expand access to Spaces, Sessions, and Resources. The specific limits and entitlements of each tier are described on our pricing page and may change; changes will not reduce entitlements you have already paid for during your current billing period.
4. Payments, billing, and refunds
Purchases are processed by Paddle, which acts as the Merchant of Record. Your purchase is also subject to Paddle’s terms. Refunds are handled in accordance with Paddle’s refund policy and applicable consumer-protection laws, which are not limited by these Terms. Applicable taxes are handled by Paddle at checkout. For questions about a purchase, contact Paddle using the support link provided with your transaction.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive source code, except where the law permits;
- circumvent tier restrictions, licensing, or usage limits;
- use the product to violate any law or the rights of others;
- interfere with or disrupt the product or the third-party services it relies on.
6. Your data and responsibilities
You own your data. Cloud backup to Google Drive is optional and under your control. You are responsible for maintaining your own backups and for the security of your device and accounts. Our handling of information is described in our Privacy Policy.
7. Intellectual property
Kontextlo, its name, and its software and content are owned by Kontextlo and protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These Terms do not transfer any ownership to you.
8. Third-party services
Kontextlo integrates with third-party services including Google Drive, Paddle, and Cloudflare. Your use of those services is subject to their respective terms, and we are not responsible for their availability or actions.
9. Disclaimers
The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the product will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that backups will always succeed.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Kontextlo will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or loss of data or profits. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the product in the 12 months before the claim, or, for free users, to zero.
11. Termination
You may stop using Kontextlo and uninstall it at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for material violations of these Terms. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated effective date; your continued use after an update constitutes acceptance.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Gujarat, India, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, and you agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located there.
